Thank you to the team for organising this event which seems to have been appreciated by a lot of people. Thanks too for my warm welcome ... I certainly found it worthwhile.
Perry Enever, Christians in Science

Please can I take this opportunity to thank you for facilitating this workshop. I found it very helpful and encouraging that many had attended and feel equally as angry/upset about what is being put out there on Darwin and Evolution. I feel much more equipped to defend my faith as a result. The speakers were very good even if I did not agree with all of them. It was also my first opportunity to visit the school ... we are considering applying for places for our children.

Thank you very much for what you spoke and for stating the differences between the theories. It would be great if there were two sessions – one giving information about the different theories and another, speaking about how one would debate them and face some major questions that would arise from evolutionists etc.

Very interesting, well organised. Would be good to have opportunity to hear Arthur Jones and Sylvia Baker again and in more depth. Thank you.

Thank you for a brilliant morning.

Please run a similar conference – maybe on a yearly basis.

Thank you. An excellent and very brave event. Very stimulating, profound and thought-provoking. Definitely a provocation for further individual and corporate research and learning.

Most of the content was at a philosophical, rather than a scientific level. What would be helpful on a future occasion would be an unpacking of the scientific evidence which supports Creationism and refutes Darwinism. This would really equip Christians in personal debate.

I really feel that if another event like this was going to be hosted (which would be a very good thing), an equal number of speakers/panelists who believe in Theistic evolution and Young Earth Creationism need to be on the panel.
(Organisers response: We had great difficulty in finding a Theistic evolutionist who was free on the day to speak on that position. We found out too late that there were others prepared to do it, but by then all arrangements had been made.
Our aim had been to present the different positions. The presentation on secularism and science we believe is foundational. Sylvia Baker had 3 positions to present. We regret that, because of wanting to give adequate time to questions, we had to ask Julian Ward to finish after his allotted time. He was aware, before coming, that he would be in the minority.
It is also worth noting that the Young Earth creationism position is a minority position in the Christian world and often not presented adequately).

Jesus Himself says to beware of stumbling blocks that are put in the way of believing in Him and His message. Could perhaps the proposal of Young Earth Creationism be such a stumbling block? This may seem a radical thing to say but we, as Christians, need not be scared of discovering more truth about the world and the universe.

I think that this meeting was really good, very informative. However, I think that another conference focussed on young people (secondary school/sixth form age) would be even more useful. Some words used were not explained, to do with different people’s beliefs and theories etc. Overall it was very interesting and challenging.

I thought that this was good, but it was quite confusing. I thought it was going to be aimed more at young people. Maybe next time it could be less confusing.

Fantastic event and speakers. I liked that both views were represented.

Thank you and please do again. Very important issue for ongoing debate.

Thank you. Great. I wished I could have heard Sylvia Baker’s concluding section in more detail. Please can we have a series of lectures or a whole day to equip us – biology, Church history etc.

Please can you never have anyone again who is going to say we evolved from apes unless you clearly advertise them as such.

Leave more time for a Q&A session. Bring in more opposing viewpoints. Shorter talks.

Thank you so much for this opportunity to discuss these issues. I am really trying to improve my ‘apologetics’. This has been very helpful. Thank you speakers and debates. Thank you CFS for taking a stand. God bless you.

Thank you for this morning.

Great thank you! Good to have different Christian views. Particularly enjoyed Dr Arthur Jones presentation and manner – well thought through, clear and easy to understand with strong but gracious viewpoint and good powerpoint.

Also Sylvia Baker – much of the above. Also very important – great having drinks at the beginning and part way.

Good having question time and book stalls. Could have been longer as so much information.

It would be good to bear in mind that some of the evidence will inevitably not be at degree level in terms of intellectual understanding. Some terms and language could do with a little more unpacking.

Thank you so much and let’s do more!

Should have been spread over at least a whole day, as it was shameful to truncate the last presentation before it reached what looked like a very interesting conclusion.
