Football-Boxing

FloatsFootball boxing was a tournament arranged for years 4-8. Each class had a team that represented it, but to make it fair, Year 4 had 5 players, Year 5 had 4 players, Year 6 had 3 players, and Year 7 & 8 had 2 players.

The first stage consisted of each of the teams in a year group playing each other until they found a representative for each Year.

Eventually, after the teams for each Year had been decided the, tournament began. The semi-finals then began with a tense match between Year 7 and Year 8 in which Year 7 won 3:0. In the other semi-final Year 6, fought hard but were beaten by Year 5.

The final was between Year 7 and Year 5 and although Year 7 won they were challenged by Year 5’s determination. Well done Year 5, and congratulation to Year 7 who are the 2008/09 winners of Football-Boxing!

A very special thanks goes to Mrs Martineau and Mr Worsley for refereeing and all the other teachers who helped organise the teams.
