Margaret Bryce Smith awards

Award winnersAt our end of term Easter assembly held on 1st April, 14 pupils from year 7 to year 11 received Margaret Bryce Smith Awards for outstanding academic achievement.

Special certificates and prizes of book vouchers were given to the pupils not just for being outstandingly gifted in certain subjects, but also to those who maintain a high standard of work in all subjects and those who endeavour to always give their best and have shown great overall improvement.

It is an award that is truly achievable for any of our pupils!

Congratulations to: John Farrington, Sophia Lawrence, Ellie Gillard, Daniel Latham, Frayer McKelvey, Hannah Arhinful, David Boulton, Matthew Butcher, Cherry Farrington, Tim Rhodes, Cameron Sharples, Sophie Chadwick, Sally Liderth and Joanna Nugent.

What are the Margaret Bryce Smith Awards?
In 1908, a gentleman named James Smith from Liverpool left a sum of money in memory of his late mother, Margaret Bryce Smith, to be used to make yearly awards to local school children. http://www.lief.org.uk/index_mbsss.htm
