Swimming Gala 2010
lower and middle school

Another successful gala showcasing all of our pupils from years 1 to 8.

The program ran smoothly at Everton Park sports centre with different events following each other nearly like clockwork.

Lower School enjoyed races using “shark fins”, whilst Middle School performed individual and relay races, with the oldest pupils using the full length of the pool. There were also demonstrations showing a variety of lifesaving techniques.

We had a good crowd of supporters representing parents and friends of the school with special guest Mr Tony Taylor our one time swimming instructor at CFS who visited the gala after many years. Mr Taylor (who is a forensic Egyptologist in his other life!) commented on how much he enjoyed the gala program, and that he appreciated the emphasise we continue to put on Water Safety.

Mr Taylor presented the winning house Penuel with our special swimming trophy, happily received by the Year 8 House Captains.
