Mission & Vision
Who are we?
We are a Christian family school where children discover the wonder of God’s big story, grow to understand life from a biblical perspective, and are nurtured and equipped to take their place in the world.
Christian Fellowship School is a through-school that provides a broad and balanced Christ-centred education for children from Reception to Year 11.
We are a community of like-minded parents and teachers who work together to provide an environment where children can thrive. We believe in the complementary roles of parents and the school in the upbringing of children. As an active worshipping community, we’re committed to the spiritual formation of our young people as they learn to pray and explore the Bible together.
We emphasise the growth of the whole person, encouraging intellectual curiosity and critical thinking in the context of spiritual and character development. Our distinctive curriculum is shaped by a biblical worldview and encourages children to grow in their understanding of the world and its history. They learn to understand everything in the light of God’s big story, tracing the arc of the biblical narrative and seeing how that story is being continued in the lives of Jesus’s followers.
We adopt a discipleship model of education, providing our children with positive role models in the school and wider community. We intentionally mentor our young people to demonstrate Christ-like character and become active and engaged citizens with the potential to transform the lives of others. We value a sense of community amid cultural and church diversity. Our emphasis on strong pastoral care provides a safe and nurturing environment in which children are able to ask questions, think deeply, learn to persevere and form healthy relationships.
Our Mission
Our mission is to work collaboratively with families and churches to provide a Christ-centred education. We seek to develop students who embody compassion, integrity, service and leadership and who uphold Biblical ethical principles. We aim to provide a positive peer culture where young people learn to face challenges together with faith, courage and hope. We strive for academic excellence so that our pupils are equipped to serve society effectively. We invest in the uniqueness of each child’s character and gifting, encouraging them to make informed choices that will enable them to play their own part in God’s big story.
Our Vision
At CFS, our vision is to nurture children and young people who:
1. Know God and are secure in their identity as children of God
2. Understand God’s redemptive purposes in Christ
3. Are equipped to serve Him.
