Christian Fellowship School is committed to safeguarding children and promoting children’s welfare, and expects all staff, governors, volunteers and visitors to share this commitment and maintain a vigilant and safe environment. Children at CFS are taught how to keep themselves safe, to develop positive and healthy relationships and to avoid situations where they might be at risk. All staff receive a safeguarding induction when they start working at the school, and receive regular updates and annual refresher training in safeguarding.
As a safe school, we work closely with other agencies, including Community Police, School Health, Local Authority, Careline and Early Help Hubs. The school has a statutory responsibility to share any concerns it might have about a child with other agencies, and to follow legislation that aims to act in the interests of the child. The school will always seek to work in partnership with parents and other agencies to ensure the best possible outcomes for the child and family.
At school we take the safety of our pupils very seriously including their safety when they access the internet. While we have measures in place to protect students when working online in school, we also educate our students about ways to safe when not in school - whether this be on their computers, mobiles or while gaming.
