CFS is looking to employ a Geography teacher for classes in our Middle School, Year 7 & 8. 

Hours

The role is for 2 lessons per week on a permanent contract. The role could be combined with another part-time teaching role within the school.

More about the role

Geography is a core part of the curriculum in Middle School. The successful candidate will plan and deliver engaging Geography lessons across Years 7 and 8, following the school’s established curriculum and schemes of work.

The teacher will support pupils in developing geographical knowledge, enquiry skills, environmental awareness, and an understanding of the relationship between people, places, and the natural world. They will contribute to the planning and delivery of a broad and balanced Geography programme that encourages curiosity about local, national, and global issues.

The successful candidate will use a variety of teaching approaches, including map work, fieldwork, data analysis, and investigative learning, to help pupils develop critical thinking and independent research skills. They will monitor and assess pupil progress, providing appropriate challenge and support to enable all learners to achieve their potential.

The teacher will also contribute to the wider life of the school as a member of both the Middle School and Upper School staff teams, supporting cross-curricular initiatives, educational visits, and enrichment opportunities that enhance pupils’ understanding of Geography beyond the classroom.
