Our Alumni
Skills for life
The ongoing stories of those leaving CFS are as varied as you would expect from a culturally and academically diverse school. The majority go on to study A levels at some of Liverpool’s best-performing sixth forms. Others pursue more vocational further education. Careers include hotel management, emergency medicine, digital design, law, post-doctoral biomedical research, performance art, teaching and ordained Christian ministry. Several of our current pupils are children of alumni and many return to volunteer with CFS in some capacity.
Where they go
At CFS, we are truly proud of the exciting next steps our pupils take as they leave us, embracing fresh challenges and opportunities. We thank God for each of them and the unique gifts He has blessed them with. We love hearing about the different paths they’ve chosen, whether in higher education, vocational training, or the workplace.
Post year 11
Our pupils progress on to post-16 study at a wide range of sixth forms and colleges across the city, reflecting their diverse ambitions and interests. Destinations include Belvedere Academy Sixth Form, Carmel College, King David High School, the University of Liverpool Mathematics School, Liverpool College, Archbishop Blanch School Sixth Form, The Blue Coat School, Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts, Liverpool Media Academy, and Cronton College. Many students excel in their new environments, with some taking on leadership roles and becoming active members of their new school or college communities.
Beyond sixth form
Many of our pupils choose to continue their studies at some of the UK’s top universities. Over recent years, pupils have gone on to study a wide range of subjects including Politics, Philosophy and Economics (PPE), Occupational Therapy, Architecture, Sports Science, Physiotherapy, Diagnostic Radiography, Creative Arts, Accounting and Finance, Acting, Adult Nursing, Mechanical Engineering, Film Production, and Medicine at institutions such as:
The University of Salford, the University of Bath, Edgehill University, Durham University, the University of Central Lancashire, the University of Liverpool, Aberystwyth University, the Liverpool Media Academy, University College London, Leeds Beckett University, the University of Birmingham, the University of Exeter, the University of St Andrews, Lancaster University, the University of York, the University of London in Paris and Newcastle University.
Some of our pupils have chosen to take up posts with missionary organisations such as Youth With A Mission (YWAM), serving God and supporting communities all around the world. Others have returned to CFS as teachers and Learning Support Assistants (LSAs). It’s always a pleasure to welcome past pupils back into the CFS community, where they play a valuable role in inspiring and supporting the next generation.
