School Performance Tables (KS4) 2023
The finalised national school performance tables for KS4 results 2023 were published on Friday, 2nd Feb 2024. We are incredibly grateful to God for the strong performance of CFS in these tables. Our prime comparator indicator is the Attainment 8 score which shows a very high score for a non-selective school in Liverpool at 62.9, which is well above the next highest scoring non-selective school at 57.9. CFS’s EBacc point score of 5.8 also shows a strong performance in the core GCSEs (English, Maths, Science, History and a modern foreign language) compared with the next highest scoring school at 5.39. Finally, the percentage of pupils gaining Grade 5 or above in English and Maths was 78% compared with the next highest scoring non-selective school on 72%.

Our primary objective as a school is to train the pupils to serve the Lord but these results amply bear out the truth that if we seek God’s Kingdom and His righteousness, the rest will be ours as well. We also state the usual caveat that we do not necessarily expect each year’s cohort to achieve at the same level, as different cohorts have different academic profiles and with small cohort sizes, just one or two pupils can make a significant difference to the overall results. Nevertheless, these are outstandingly good results compared with other good schools in Liverpool and are a tribute to the hard work of pupils, the strong support of parents and the immense dedication of staff from Reception to Year 11 who have, in turn, laid foundations, built on them and finally raised the roof! A huge thank you to all involved.
