Partial reopening arrangements for 11th Jan...
As mentioned previously, it is advised that any pupils in years 7-11 and staff who are working in school have a Rapid SMART (Lateral Flow) test on Saturday or Sunday before coming to school on Monday. We do not require proof of a negative test but obviously if anyone does test positive, they and their household must stay home for 10 days and inform school immediately by emailing ks@cfschool.org.uk. Please do this every weekend over the next few weeks if possible. Younger children coming into school can also be tested at your discretion. These measures are encouraged by the government to pick up any potential people who may have the virus but not be displaying any symptoms.
We understand that the Rapid (SMART) test sites in Liverpool and the Wirral are remaining open until at least the end of January and can be found here - this is a live website which indicates how busy each test site is at any given time.
Please be aware that the school day is 9.00am to 2.00pm for the pupils coming into school. Please arrive between 8.45am and 8.55am. Lower School pupils will be welcomed through the Y1 Classroom door and will wash their hands in the cloakrooms on arrival. All other pupils will wash and dry their hands using the outside sinks, then enter the building and go up to the third floor where 3 separate bubbles have been carefully organised in different rooms.
All parents of Middle School and Upper School children attending will have by now received detailed emails about the school day, including the timetable and requests for equipment and other items. Please also ensure that your children dress warmly (please see news for a reminder about uniform enhancements) and pupils must have a waterproof coat with them everyday. Pupils in years 7-11 should also have a clean mask each day. We also have an enhanced risk assessment in place which includes staff wearing masks in all communal areas and when meeting parents outside.
Finally, please be reminded not to park and leave cars on Overbury street beyond the Church.
