Leadership Transition
I would like to update the school community on the transition of leadership in the school. At the inset day on 14th April, we had the great privilege, with school staff, to thank Mr Worsley for his service as Head teacher, to pray for him and his household and to commission Mr Sharples and Mrs Boulton as the interim Principal and Head teacher.
In normal times, we would gather in an all school assembly to thank Mr Worsley in person for his 7 years as Head and we look forward to an opportunity to do this when COVID restrictions allow. We are very fortunate as a community to continue to have his part-time input in teaching and in further development of the history and geography curricula. I know you will wish to join me in thanking him for his patient, wise and committed leadership.
This term will be an unusually busy one for staff as they work towards full re-opening of the school without restrictions (whilst continuing to respond to Government guidance). Mr Sharples and Mrs Boulton, I know, would value your prayers as they take on the full mantle of responsibility that they have been working towards.
We continue to pursue the recruitment of a full time Head teacher for September but Mr Sharples and Mrs Boulton have offered to remain as interim leaders for as long as is needed.
